That’s the background to this charming photo. Malika has never been much of a fan of water. The merciless swimming test at school put her right off water sports. Since then, it has been clear to Malika that sport should not be about performance. She’s applied that opinion to her education projects in India and Nepal too. In her teaching plans, Malika carefully chooses activities that all children find fun – not just those who can do the activity straight away. That way the emphasis is on learning rather than on effort.
