The Jordanian charitable association Al Bireh was founded in 2010. The aim of the association is to support community development and improve people’s quality of life. To this purpose, Al Bireh implements various social activities, trainings and awareness raising programs targeting members of the most disadvantaged communities in the region. Al Bireh is well established and active in the region northwest to the capital city as well as in Amman and reaches almost 10,000 people annually.
Together with SA4D, Al Bireh implemented the project “Goals for Peace“. The objective was to support Syrian and Jordanian children to deal with war- or pandemic-related trauma, to better cope with everyday life and be better integrated, through football.
