Football for All (FFA) is a youth-led non-profit organisation that believes that sport and physical activity make an important contribution to the healthy development of children and young people and the social cohesion in their communities.
FFA’s support aims to empower disadvantaged children and youth in India, Bangladesh and around the world by providing football equipment.
Unequal access to football opportunities
Football is the most popular sport in the world with over 3.5 billion fans. Despite its popularity and low-threshold nature, there are still inequalities in access to football in many parts of the world. There are many reasons for this, but socio-economically disadvantaged communities and individuals are often the most affected.
The power of football
Through its activities, FFA aims to give children and young people affected by poverty better access to football opportunities and benefit from its power. To this end FFA acts as an interface between communities in need of football equipment, and donors who believe in football as a vehicle for holistic development.
SA4D supports FFA in building a strong network of local project partners and ensuring evidence-based evaluation of project activities. The partnership with FFA represents a further deepening of SA4D’s many years of experience in development cooperation in India.
