“Football for Hope” is an initiative of FIFA and the NGO streetfootballworld, that uses football for development. The movement began in 2005.
Since then, numerous “Football for Hope” centres have opened, mainly in Africa. In these centres, families, children and young people can get information about topics such as protecting the environment, peace work and child rights.
A platform for everyone
Alongside the British Aqumen Sports Consulting, SA4D developed a monitoring and evaluation system for the “Football for Hope” movement between 2008 and 2009. The system is based on an IT platform that all involved parties can use for collecting and evaluating data. In workshops, SA4D trained the partner organisation in monitoring and evaluation, and introduced them to the platform.
