The field study looked into the potential for anomie in China in the mid-1990s. It is part of the book Comparative Anomie Research: Hidden Barriers – Hidden Potential for Social Development (Aldershot 1999), which brings together the results of SA4D’s anomie research projects (1994 – 1997) and presents an early warning system for anomie.
