sportanddev is moving

SA4D was the host and secretariat of the platform sportanddev since its founding following the first International Conference on Sport and Development co-organised by SA4D in Magglingen (CH) in 2003. After 20 years, sportanddev will move to another secretariat/host. Although the project is coming to a close for SA4D, sportanddev will continue to operate and will be actively supported by SA4D during the transition to its new home at The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA).

The launch of sportanddev was a historical moment for SA4D and we are proud to have been a key actor in the platform’s creation and its growth over two decades.

For SA4D, the move of the platform also represents an opportunity to refocus on the core mission of delivering sport and play-based programmes contributing to sustainable development worldwide. We also aim to redouble our efforts to contribute to strengthening the scientific evidence of the impact of sport and play-based interventions and advance the sharing of this knowledge.

SA4D wishes the platform continued success in its mission and looks forward to new forms of collaboration in future.
