Nadia Delia Lanfranchi was responsible for public relations at SA4D for over five years. She was also a member of the management team.
Her biggest project during that time? Giving SA4D a new look for its 25th anniversary. Our new corporate design and website are a real success thanks to Nadia’s editorial skills and feeling for visuals. In this goodbye interview, she reveals the professional challenges that await her.
YOU WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS AT SA4D FOR OVER FIVE YEARS. WHAT WAS YOUR PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Sharpening SA4D’s profile was a big challenge. Thanks to good cooperation as a team, we were able to give SA4D a new look, which represents the work consistently thanks to the updated website, the new corporate design and the picture-rich presentation.
THERE’S A RUMOUR THAT YOU EVEN GOT POST FROM FORMER PRESIDENT ADOLF OGI. CAN YOU TELL US WHAT HAPPENED?
If you work in public relations, you often get direct feedback. It’s an advantage of the job. Adolf Ogi’s feedback wasn’t just for me though. He congratulated everybody at SA4D on our commitment to sport and development when he saw our new annual report. The team was very pleased.
WHAT’S YOUR BEST MEMORY FROM YOUR TIME AT SA4D?
I remember lots of good times with the team and the visit to the Women on the Move project last summer. The situation of the women in the refugee camps in Uganda is very precarious. I was impressed by the energy that the women bring to the project and the strength that it gives them. It confirmed to me again how much sport and play creates a feeling of belonging and how it can reduce the burden of daily life.
WHAT PROFESSIONAL CHALLENGES AWAIT YOU NOW?
I’m now responsible for campaigning and multimedia at Terre des Femmes Switzerland and I’m looking forward to new challenges. In my spare time I will carry on working in graphics and film as well as training J+S ski instructors in in the Canton of Graubünden.
Thank you very much for your valuable work at SA4D – it was a pleasure to work with you. We wish you all the best in everything you do.
Thank you too! It’s possible our paths will cross again.
