SA4D appoints a new director.

Connor Spreng joined the Swiss Academy for Development in early August as its new Executive Director. He is a development economist with degrees in economics, international policy studies, and applied economics (policy analysis) from Harvard and Stanford Universities, and the Pardee RAND Graduate School, respectively.

Over the course of his career, Spreng worked as project and program manager, consultant, and team leader for various institutions, including over 10 years at the World Bank. He worked across sectors and regions, including in South- and East Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Middle East, as well as in Switzerland and in the USA.

SAME NAME, NEW ACRONYM

We’ve made an adjustment to our website address and acronym: sa4d.org is now our new domain name, with SA4D replacing the old acronym (old web- and email addresses will be forwarded). Our focus – as well as the full name of our organization – remain unchanged. We still seek more and better ways to support children and young adults who are most in need through sport and play across the globe and in Switzerland. This passion continues to drive us and our work.
