Waruka Trust Academy is a non-governmental organisation based in Harare, Zimbabwe. The organisation is committed to empowering disadvantaged girls, especially their education and psychosocial health. The aim is to prevent child marriages, which are widespread in Zimbabwe. The Waruka Trust Academy was founded in 2017 by a former top athlete who had experienced the fate of child marriage several times in his own family.
Together with the Waruka Trust Academy, SA4D implements the Girls Ahead! programme to prevent child marriage in the Murehwa district in eastern Zimbabwe through sustainable agriculture, sports-based activities and education.
